Week of November 17

Well this last week has been fairly normal in my life. Tuesday was an interesting day though. I had to go into work early to cover for a girl that was sick. I work at the USU bookstore. When I got in I went to my register and next to the register there is a table that we wrap gifts on. I had left some shirts on the table from Monday that I needed to tag, so I tagged the last of the shirts and all of a sudden I needed to blow my nose. I stepped away from the table and blew my nose and I heard something shatter on the floor behind me. One of the lights had fallen directly where I had been standing! It's not just an ordinary light bulb. It was one that is nicer looking that has a metal connector and the whole thing had fallen. It was also very hot so I was quite grateful that I had needed to blow my nose at that exact minute!

That evening I had to go to the library for a Rotaract meeting (Rotaract is a college version of the rotary club. We do lots of service in the community and we go to Mexico and do service over spring break. I am the vice president of this club at Utah State.). I had to park my car a ways away from the library and it was kind of dark. If you know me very well, you would know that I get a little paranoid walking alone at night. So while I was walking I could tell that someone was behind me and it was a guy. I got my key in my hand so that if he attacked me I would be ready! I started walking a lot faster and I could tell that he had sped up also. I was beginning to be a little scared. All of a sudden he yelled, "Clarissa! Why are you walking so fast?" He was a guy that I had gone to South America with this summer! I proceeded to get mad at him for scaring me so badly. He said that he wanted to come up behind me and surprise me, but I was walking to fast. I informed him that it was a really good thing that he didn't because I would have hurt him! That's my excitement from Tuesday.

On Thursday, it was ridiculously windy and the wind proceeded to blow half of the fence in the backyard down. My dad had come over last Saturday to fix part of it, but then the wind ruined his hard work. So, he ended up coming over and fixing it again yesterday!

Friday I was able to go to my first work Christmas party. I know it was a little early for a Christmas party, but it was still really fun. Yesterday I was able to spend a lot of time with my family which was really fun! Me, Ashley, and Brittney got to go see Twilight with Suzanne, Randi Shea, Cathy, and Sheri. That was a lot of fun and the movie was excellent!

Well, that all that I have for my first post, and we'll see how long I can keep this up!

I guess my family doesn't know what is going on in my life so I've decided to create a blog. So... this is my attempt at it!
